Black Desert Online was accused heavily of being overly microtransaction-heavy and leaning almost headfirst into pay-to-win territory when it first launched in the West eight years ago. However, over those years, I noticed the pay-to-win elements here in the West were slowly reduced, with BnS NEO Divine Gems those microtransactions often being cosmetic or simply convenience items. It’s hard to say it’s completely gone, and the amount of microtransactions available in Black Desert has certainly not gone down over the years. Still, one thing JJ’s team at Pearl Abyss America did, in my view, was help headquarters better understand what the audience here wanted out of its in-game store.
She has the same task ahead of her here at NC America, especially as more titles are being published in Korea first. While NCSOFT’s most recent MMORPG, Throne and Liberty, is being published by Amazon here in the West, with that team taking the lead at formulating the microtransactions to be more akin to what we’d expect out here, JJ’s team had to do this with Blade and Soul Neo. For gameplay, JJ says there isn’t much being changed in Neo from its Korean version. However, she does tell me that her team is paying close attention to the business model, especially whether it’ll be accepted here in the West.
We are not changing a lot of things for Blade and Soul Neo. When we played Blade and Soul Neo here in the office, I think the dev team really wanted to make it work well for the global audience. So I think those were the learnings from our past experience. Unfortunately, some of our titles - or most of our titles - had a pay-to-win reputation. So there’s a big awareness now about that internally. I think even for the business models, the devs wanted to make sure this is better, this is going to be well accepted in the West. So we’re learning from our live service experience.
As a result of those internal playtests, JJ says her team didn’t think a lot of changes needed to be made, but that doesn’t mean that there won’t be changes made in the future as it heads towards launch. NC America doesn’t currently have a launch date set, but there are certainly some interesting features to look forward to, especially if you’ve played buy BnS Classic Divine Gems the original.
The Druid really clearly that the Druid is a favored. Everyone loves a Druid. But we really had a concept piece that got done a while back by somebody in home that gave him a bit of a different appearance, perhaps, to how he seemed in Diablo IV Gold.Once that bit moved up, it was like, fine, we are going, we gotta do this. What with the new engine and that, it was a good opportunity for from an art perspective, together with the Druid, for its character group to go all in. On the front end he's got the fur, the dogs, it seems super cool.
So far the shown classes have all also been in Diablo 4. Is that a shame. We only picked what classes are great for Diablo 4. We've got reverence for the Diablos. We are just hoping to catch the best bits throughout the board, since we want to make the best experience in Diablo possible.Diablo 4 has in-game cinematics for the very first time. How difficult is it to apply that.
It was an undertaking. It is really the first time we have seen, in Diablo usually we do matte paintings and whatnot. The simple fact that you actually see that vista shot, that is the entire world. That is the location. It's always easy. The entire thing happens in real time. The whole point that we are attempting to construct in Sanctuary is we're treating it like a personality. It made sense to sayhey, we would like to reveal this place that we're building for people to invest a while in. When you see it, you can go to it. Yes, it was certainly I mean, there's a new pipeline for it and whatnot, of course. But it was worth it.
Does that make it even more challenging to design all these different assets. Today all the pieces of equipment need to appear great enough to closeups. Those are considerations. When you look at cheap Diablo 4 materials, there's a lot of 2.5D stuff with the trees and whatnot. That all must not happen anymore, because today we have this game where we're constructing it entirely in the round. We have terrain elevation. All of the assets are built like regular 3D game assets. It permits us to do things which we have never been able to do before. It empowering in a way, you understand.
This coin is used to access a harder version of the Trial of Sehkemas. It is marked with three trials, and completing them will reward you with POE 2 Currency Orbs additional Ascendancy points. This item unlocks an even more difficult version of the Trial of Chaos, marked with seven trials. Successfully completing these trials will reward you with even more Ascendancy points, significantly enhancing your character's power.
While these items provide greater rewards, they are more difficult to obtain and require significant effort. This is where POE 2 Currency comes into play trading valuable items and currency can help you secure these coins from other players. If you're struggling to progress through the trials, using POE 2 Currency to purchase or trade for the necessary items can save you time and effort, allowing you to focus on completing the trials themselves.
As of the latest updates (as of December 10), there are reports of bugs affecting the acquisition of Ascendancy points from the Djinn Barya Coin and Inscribed Ultimatum Coin. Players have encountered issues where completing these trials does not reward the expected Ascendancy points. If you're having trouble receiving more points after completing these trials, keep an eye on patch notes and updates from the developers, as fixes may be on the way.
